INTRODUCTION

The Human Metapneumovirus(HMPV) Antigen Rapid Test Kit is a rapid chromatographic immunoassay for the qualitative detection of human metapneumovirus antigen in nasal swab samples and aid in the diagnosis of human metapneumovirus infection.

INTENDED USE

The Human Metapneumovirus(HMPV) Antigen Rapid Test Kit uses a antibody sandwich method for detection of human metapneumovirus by immunochromatography with colloidal gold. If the appropriate amount of test samples treated with lysis buffer placed in the sample well of the test cassette, the sample will move by capillary action on the test strip. If the sample human metapneumovirus nucleocapsid antigens and the concentration is higher than the detection limit, forms the antigen immune complexes with the corresponding nucleocapsid protein antibody, marked with colloidal gold. If the test sample contains human metapneumovirus, a red T line forms, which positive result for human metapneumovirus. In addition, the test strip also contains a control line (C line). The C line should be formed to indicate that the sample has been properly passed through membrane, regardless of whether the sample contains antigens or not. If the C line does not appear, it means the result is invalid and the sample needs to be retested.
