Intended Use
This kit uses immunochromatography technology to qualitatively detect dengue virus NS1 antigen in human serum, plasma or whole blood. It is suitable for the early aid of dengue virus infection diagnosis and screening.
Summary
Dengue is caused by dengue virus (divided into four serotypes, DENV-1~4), transmitted by Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus mosquitoes, is an acute infectious disease, mostly in tropical and subtropical regions. The clinical types can be divided into dengue fever, dengue hemorrhagic fever and dengue shock syndrome. The disease spreads rapidly and the main clinical manifestations include fever, headache, generalized muscle and joint pain, extreme fatigue, rash, lymph node enlargement, and leukopenia.Patients infected with dengue virus for the first time generally have mild clinical manifestations, which can be asymptomatic recessive infection, or mild, typical dengue fever. When they are infected with dengue virus again, the condition is more serious, and the probability of clinical dengue hemorrhagic fever and shock syndrome is increased, and the fatality rate is high.
