Intended Use
This kit is used for qualitative in vitro detection of hemoglobin and transferrin in human feces. In gastrointestinal bleeding, in addition to hemoglobin, transferrin in serum will also leak into the gastrointestinal tract and be excreted with feces, so fecal occult blood and transferrin is a sensitive indicator in the detection of gastrointestinal bleeding.
Principle
The kit adopts the principle of immunochromatography technology, and the double antibody sandwich method is used to detect hemoglobin and transferrin in human fecal samples. This reagent immobilized colloidal gold-labeled mouse anti-human hemoglobin and transferrin antibody 1 on a glass fiber membrane and mouse anti-human hemoglobin and transferrin antibody 2 on a nitrocellulose membrane. When a positive sampleis detected, the hemoglobin and transferrin in the sample binds to colloidal gold labeled mouse anti-human hemoglobin and transferrin antibody 1 to form a complex. Due to the chromatography process, the complex moves forward along the strip and passes through mouse anti- human hemoglobin and transferrin antibody 2 prefixed on the nitrocellulose membrane, thus showing a red band at the detection line. The freegold labeled antibody was bound to the anti-mouse IgG antibody at the quality control line, resulting in a red band at the quality control line. For the negative samples, only the red band was displayed at the control line of quality control. To serve as a procedural control, a colored line will always appear at the control line region indicating that proper volume of sample has been added and membrane wicking has occurred.
